From Therapy Crafting to Full-Time Business Owner.
Hello Welcome to CalitheMaker Shop!
My name is Dayci and I am the founder of CaliTheMaker.
Early 2020 I was diagnosed with Postpartum Depression and Anxiety after giving birth in November 2019. Encouraged by my therapist to give myself "at least 30 minutes every day to do something that makes me happy", I begin crafting part time. Crafting has been something I've always enjoyed and brings me so much joy.Â
March 2020 I decided to quit my corporate job and focus on my mental health. Take a "break" and find myself again while enjoying my new born daughter.Â
Just like many others, the Pandemic flipped upside down our lives. My "hobby" business had turned into our primary source of income. After my husband was let go from his corporate job in May 2020 the game plan changed.
Today, 3 years laters we are a full- time family owned business. I am stronger mentally and emotionally because today I am doing what I love while still being able to provide for my family.Â
